Dog: Oh, Jon, I'm so glad you're home! I'm so glad you're home! Guess what - you're not gonna believe this! I went on everything today! What about you? How was your day?
I love when you come home to a Happy Dog… That why no matter how long I am gone I always say good bye and tell them I’ll be back in 10 minutes. They go take a nap and then I’m back Yea ! Yea ! your back !
PaulainNH you have obviously never had a cat who wants to make a point–like “hey you came home late” or “I think your laundry would smell better if I peed on it”
We’ve lived with several cats over the years. There doesn’t have to be a medical issue.

Went?
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Yeah, went! As in he didn’t hold it it and marked every inch of his territory - or is that what cats do?
pearlandpeach almost 15 years ago
only unneutered cats do…they have bad owners and the owners deserve what they get.
the rest of us have well behaved cats that would not think of not using the litterbox, and they are spayed/neutered.

Someone forgot to put the toilet lid down I see…
catqueen almost 15 years ago
pearlandpeach, spayed/neutered cats still go on things that aren’t their litterbox.
BC13-dogs mark their territory and sometimes neutered males will continue the practice if they weren’t fixed early enough.

pearlandpeach, Right on!
catqueen, As a rule, no, cats do not, but they ‘can’ if there’s a medical issue, severe stress/fear or old age. (Same as people :o)

Our cats use the toilet. They were trained using the LitterKwitter method. Now to get them to pull the lever.

Am I the only one who’s surprised that the dog is talking? I mean, the man looks kinda surprised…

With cats, it’s RARELY a medical issue.
