    Chicago, North Carolina, Maine? My theory is that Gasoline Alley is a geographical anomaly, not really “set” at all, but appearing wherever it’s needed in the USA– like a circus.

    By the way, is that a cat on Nina’s shoulder? I see a lot of people driving around with a pet as co-pilot. It may be a ferret. I like the “smiley” pin on Nina’s hat.

    I’d have a hard time imagining Joel and Rufus as being denizens of a Chicago suburb any time after the Civil War.
