If the outfielder had just turned around, she could have caught the ball. It was barely above her shoulders.

Rubin is doing that end-of-story time-warp thing where after 8 days of slogging through “Prom”, we’ve leapt from one game to the next between panels 2 and 3. This is a very good sign.

The other day Amy was batting with a fungo bat. Today she’s using one of big-barreled plastic bats like my children had, ideal for hitting wiffle balls or Nerf balls.

Perhaps Gil has been written out of his own strip. Possibly he had a contract dispute with the writers? How many days has it now been since he made an appearance?

Those damaged fences really don’t do much to stop foul balls.

In all reality, P3 has Amy framed by a heart shaped hole in the fencing.

Ahhh. Wildcat Maris nursing his bourbon on the rocks high atop his third floor penthouse suite at Maris Industries beyond right field. As he stalks Coach Glory through his binoculars, we GilPa fans can only wonder…will we EVER SEE COACH GLORY IN ALL HER GLORY EVER AGAIN?

What has distracted the player in P1? Aliens? Coach Glory’s see-through pants? John Pascoe speaking? A peacock?

She hit the ball so hard, the fungo swole up, just like Lucky used to. She’ll never escape the “Metaphores”. How sad.

So it took 2 days to get through two pitches and then one panel to jump days ahead. At least the pacing in MUT is consistent. The humor may not be however.

To quote Alice Cooper “School’s Out For Summer” around here. The College WS is cranking up in Omaha and yet Milford is still in the regular season for softball and baseball.

Much too fat for a fungo bat, which are long and skinny.

    Hitting a horseshoe. LOL

Mop: Thanks for your efforts on MUT. That and the great comments here are the only reason I read this daily…the strip itself is utterly lame. I would have stopped years ago otherwise.

…this storyline needs a mercy rule. End it and get to Milford CC!

Really? A fungo bat is really long and thin.

In yesterday’s strip, it sure looks like the ball is in the catchers glove after Amy’s big rip in panel 3. HR must have been on the unseen next pitch.
