unlikely! I’m 56 and my dad loved janis big time. She was the best. She sang about life. she sang about love. she sang to all of us.What a wonderful world we lived in. Thank you Janis, we will never forget you!
They most assuredly do!Until recently I (a Boomer & music freak) was a substitute teacher, and became quite used to seeing kids of an age to be my grandchildren wearing t-shirts emblazoned with Janis, the Doors, the Beatles, Grateful Dead……….one 2nd grader told me I look kinda like Garcia.Let me see the hands of anyone who thinks for one minute those kids’ grandkids will be wearing Justin Beiber, Lady Gaga, or Eminem shirts.
Love the outfit. Both – with and without the additional hair. .If I recall – Janis might have started with a lovely singing voice, but it was more the words/lyrics that were more important. .So Agnes – you sing. just stay away from the higher notes.
My daughter sang a Janis song at her wedding reception. (the newlyweds were Deadheads at the time) now they are a staid middle-aged couple like the rest of us old rockers!

A little more hair, a few ostrich feathers…....That signature black leather choker….
Then you can get away with a long mournful howl…

Gosh, I hope so.
A lot of Gen X-ers grew up listening to 70’s rock… even Millennials drive by blasting Led Zep..
And singers who live hard and die young seem to become folk heroes, too, so they know Jim Morrison and Jerry Garcia….
They’ve probably even heard of Frank Sinatra.
In fact, I bet Tony Cochran is only pushing 50 himself.
And Tony…. I hope you don’t mind when I transform Agnes. If you do, just say so and I won’t again!

Smoke three packs of lucky strikes, swallow some razor blades, down about 1/2 a fifth of Southern Comfort and you should be good to go.

Would screaming melodiously be suitable?

Had a sudden flash-back – Seinfeld: The Puffy Shirt Episode (the ‘low speaker’). 1970s right?
