It’s always seems wrong to me to refer to courage as “balls”. Anyone who has balls only needs to get a decent wack to said organs in order to turn them into a blubbering blob rolling around on the floor. If you really want to refer to an organ that can take a pounding without any complaint at all, wouldn’t a vagina be more appropriate?
Both my husband and I really hate the statement “get some balls………” for doing something. I mean really, what do they have to do with it? That part of the anatomy doesn’t think. “Get some gumption” is more appropriate.
