We have already ditched the telephone. We use hand held radios – at least the vast majority of the developed world does and the penetration into the 3rd world continues apace.

Please explain: What exactly did Bucky say that is upsetting to Canadians ?

I don’t get how Bucky upset Canadians either … and I’m Canadian!

Tesla invented radio; Marconi wrongly got credit for his patented work. It wasn’t until 1943 that it was finally set right. Not that it did much good since Marconi gets credit to this day.

I think it is a stretch to call Alexander Graham Bell a Canadian. He was 23 when his family moved to Ontario from Scotland, but most of the work on the telephone prototypes (with James Watson) was in the US.

I once wasted 20 minutes of my life explaining to this woman that Puerto Rico was not, in fact, a foreign country simply because they spoke Spanish.

She and Bucky would make a cute couple.
