We would lay a large towel on the floor for our Terrier, and she would roll on it before she began the shake. Her collar had some bells on it, so it would rattle a bit. You might say she practiced the “shake, rattle, and roll”!: >)
If she’d got near Fred with a towel, she’d just have been whipped by the ears first, and then the tail as the shake propagated down his body. (well, that’s what happens if I try to towel my dachshund anyway)

I’m glad he’s named FRED, because he has a Flogging Rear End Device, which can do a lot of harm with that shake.
