He never should have taken back those nasty things he said in the first place.
From the looks of it, Roz also serves beer at her diner. How did she ever get a liquor license, she barely has a license to serve food?
With that food, you need a beer to wash it down with.
What we seem to be missing here is that Cosmo didn’t accidentally drop his cheque on the floor and Shoe didn’t accidentally see that and pick it back up.
Only way a writer will ever pick up a check, prof. Or a waitress.
