I hope the tree that fell and took down the lines wasn’t the Wallet Family Tree! An occurrence like that could only be taken as a bad omen. Where’s Nina?
I think what happened is Mr. Scancarelli decided to take a day off. Which he totally deserves, he puts more love and craft into his strip than almost any other cartoonist these days.
Oh, and Joe- you can get LEDs for your mini-Mag, so those two AAs will last a long time; Technology Associates will also sell you some interesting ‘flashlights’ that fit nicely in a cellphone pouch, 3 AAs, four LEDs, lots of features. (No financial interest, just a fan :-)
Has anyone else noticed the following announcement on the Genius page? According to this, it now costs less than $12 per year to become a genius. Is that what it has always been or is this something new?

I think it is great that Gasoline Alley is featuring Skeezix in a story about the Army’s History Museum. In my photo is a picture of my Uncle Gabe when he was home on leave during World War II. He actually joined up BEFORE the war broke out because he wanted to use the Army to get some education. He was among the first people to be trained in the use of radar. He had to be careful NOT to talk about any of his work whenever he was home on leave because everything about radar was top secret back then. Gasoline Alley is the greatest!

Does this mean the army is giving up on building a museum?
