Roof, no problem. Tree, another problem.

Well, Mom, it isn’t on the roof!!! Does that count?! Will Michael climb the tree, fall, and break his arm?! ;)

Remember Charlie Brown’s “kite eating tree”?Seems that many comic strip trees like to eat!

They are playing badminton, not real birdies but shuttlecocks.

….“ever mindful of the cost of new ones, risked his life annually to get them down.”-—Got to save a dollar. Besides, he probably hoped the kids would get the idea and not whack them onto the roof. (Although, some kids did that intentionally.)

Our game as kids was using the house as a net, each player on opposite sides of the house

Where did the birdie in the tree come from? In panel 3 of yesterday’s strip Ellie say she gave the kids 6 and panel 4 shows 5 birdies on the roof and one in the gutter. Did the one in the gutter get out and fly to the tree on its own??

It looks like this one was the next one hit, after they all came down from the roof. . . . but it’s not on the ROOF! ;)
