There was a young lady named Bright,Whose speed was much faster than light; She started one dayIn a relative way,And returned on the previous night.- Arthur Henry Reginald Buller (1923), on Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity (1905).
Calvin and Hobbes are Back To The Future. Two years later, they again left and returned without wasting any time. The following strip was published two years after today’s strip, but we read it two years ago by visiting the future in the past. Time is a relative thing.Click here: Calvin and Hobbes (May 23, 1992)
Calvin’s trip has now come to and end;Fame and fortune are just ‘round the bend; He’s returned with the facts,But he needs some more snacksFor his furry, carnivorous friend.- Hobbes (2014)

wow…film…I remember using cameras with film when I started college but I don’t think any kids (or even some teens) know what that even IS (Unless they saw that one episode of Futurama)
Ah, the days of shipping film off to have it developed. These days Calvin would have used his phone then posted the pics on FB and InstaGram immediately. I miss the simplicity we had back then,
Calvin and his pet tiger Hobbes went back in time to see the dinosaurs and returned a split-second later, leaving Calvin’s mother to believe they were just playing in the backyard in a cardboard box.

It’s amazing how accurate toy manufacturers are with their toy dinosaurs.

time traveling is impossible. the boy might have mental problems. his mother should not ignore him but take him to the doctor. this is bad parenting.

As Calvin and Hobbes strips continue to be rerun, we will continue to visit the past in the future.

Don’t know what the future holds for Calvin and his roll of film. We’ll just have to wait and see what develops.
Kroykali over 10 years ago
If he could time travel, he could have gone into the future and gotten a digital camera, and not have to bother mom about getting the film developed.

@Retired Dude: No, that was a different Miss Bright. I think she kicked the bucket.

Mom is ready to roll with it, until film developing costs enter the picture.

It will be another “Kodak Moment” when the film’s developed!
Karaboo2 over 10 years ago
Mom, you should take the film to be developed and try not to be negative about it.
