There was a car comic that came out in the late 60’s with images like this. Revell made them into a line of car models I know I used to build them at home. So COOL. Is this where you got the idea Paul??
Endsville Eddie was the first model my dad ever bought for me. Several years ago I went over on Amazon and got him two bundles of the Weird Ohs model kits… the surfers and the racers. Eddie was in there. Dad got really sick and ended up with a major league tremor and was unable to do anything with the kits. During the last year of his life, I rebuilt every one of them just the way he wanted them done. He took dozens of pictures and posted them on his model club sites. He was so proud. He and I spent a lot of time building models of all kinds when I was a pre-teen. Planes, tanks, ships, cars, trucks, you name it, and NO snap tite kits. They were NOT allowed. Not too shabby for a girl!

Used to read Cartoons and DRAG magazine – and yes, I’ve built one or two of Ed, “Big Daddy” Roth’s iconic models. – and don’t forget “Rat Fink”!
