June: It's dinnertime!
Ralph: When you say it's dinnertime, does that mean dinner is on the table? Or does it mean you want me to come sit down and wait another ten minutes?

My late mother always said that, and we asked that question too. My late father was smart, was sitting at the table reading the whole time, so when Mom told us to come to the table she’d have to get him to stop reading first, letting us know when food was on the table.
