Now is the time to take the junior shoplifter to the store and make him responsible for admitting his theft. Because it is theft — pure and simple. Don’t make excuses for him. Don’t let him off of the hook. Don’t let him have the item — if you can’t rutrn it, make sure he can’t have it until he’s paid you back and/or worked it off.
