For my kids when they were newborns I made brightly colored shapes on the ’puter and stuck them on the blades of our ceiling fan. It worked for the grand cost of 1 piece of printed paper and some tape.

My granddaughter has visual issues and the therapists all recommend the black and white to improve her focus. It seems to be working.
