    When I was in college, you could get a Big Mac and a Coke for 98 cents.

    Heck, I remember when I could get a Big Mac, a large fries, and a malt for 78 cents. This was in the early 70’s.

    My husband does this, and I tell him he reminds me of my father. Always comparing the price of something now to the price it was long ago. I do the same sometimes. I guess older people can’t help it.

    Jay_Dallas: When I was in public school, I could get a sandwich and milkshake for 35 cents. Of course, people who bring up archeology seldom mention that in those days, $5,000 per year was professional salary.

    Maybe some parents actually are stupid. I’m 44 and have the same opinion of mine that I had in high school.
