Taken in moderation, there’s nothing wrong with white bread. I prefer whole wheat, but white flour is much better than whole wheat in toasted English muffins. Also, try to make an angel food cake with whole wheat flour. Any sponge cake, for that matter.
White flour is no more poisonous than many other things we consume, in moderation. Wine, beer, sugar, fruit, anything is bad if taken to excess.
I’ve met people who’ve had all their lives and are perfectly healthy. So I’m with hawgowar on this; it’s a moderation thing, and add to it that the “hatred” for white bread is both exaggerated in hopes for a “get-thin/healthy-quick” (which, by the way, doesn’t exist) or as a scare tactic. Hence the comic poking fun at it.
It says “The most dangerous foods”, noticing the word food, I wonder why, uranium there. I can see lead or sulfur being a problem, because they can be in foods, but uranium? Just because it is possible to ingest something, doesn’t make it food. But I guess the dietary experts can’t tell the difference.
There’s a comic elsewhere showing a loaf of white bread wondering why he was sent to hell! Too bad the “welcoming” devil did not have this graph to show him!

Take one lead frying pan and heat to temperature over a uranium pile. Add mushrooms and season to taste with sulfur.

How can white bread be dangerous?

Same premise as today’s Reality Check. Proving once again there’s a shared pool of consciousness from whence all ideas originate.

Actually, white bread is not good, but the other things are worse.
