When my kids were toddlers they’d wake up from nap and ask for peas or carrorts with the excitement one would normally reserve for cake and ice cream. Though considering my oldest thought the green ice cream cones on her sticker sheet were green bean flavored (which was just as good as strawberry or banana) I’m not sure I’d call them “normal.”
My boys would be chomping those “trees” just as fast as cookies. They love both broccoli and cauliflower, especially with cheese, or cooked and chilled. I’m sure it has NOTHING to do with the fact that I too have always loved them.
My oldest son was like that — one day I had a carrot in one hand and a cookie in the other; and offered them to him. The cookie tasted good. Also, when he wanted a cookie — he wanted A cookie! He threw a fit when I offered him a second one.

Who took the cookies form the cookie jar? Mom took the cookies from the cookie jar! (Dad’s not going to like is either.)

This is not funny! I love cookies and hate broccoli. Some things you just don’t mess with – like cookie jars!
