Francis: Let me get this straight...You go into a store and accidentally break this ceramic monkey... Nate: Right!... Francis: The store manager makes you buy the thing... Nate: Right! Francis: ...And now you're going to glue it back together and give it to you're sister as a birthday present? Nate: Hey, It's not the greatest gift, but it's the thought that counts! Francis: My point exactly. Nate: Of course, eighty-nine cents is a little more than I had planned to spend...

I’m willing to bet that he was going to spend only 40¢

That’s not right, Nate. Somewhere in there your logic went south. No sister would want something her klutz brother busted!

I’m intrigued with this plan. The thing is though when people break stuff in stores they normally try to hide it. You would not believe the amount of broken stuff I’ve found at Walmart and Target. Actually, when I think about it, it’s more stuff that people have unboxed and stolen… But anyway my point is that if Nate wants his plan to work he’s basically going to have to break it right in front of the Manager. Well he was going to have to pay anyway so technically his sister’s gift cost nothing.
