I remember watching a news report on the shootings. They had occurred near places with an M in the name; Michael’s Store, Mobil Station, a middle school. I called my best friend who was a detective for Henrico County which surrounds Richmond and gave him my theory, saying that maybe they were terrorists, and the M had something to do with Mohammad. He told me to call the FBI hotline. When I called them, the lady who answered showed very little interest in the theory. When they finally caught the guys, their names both started with M; Malvo and Muhammad. Malvo was the younger, and was killing for the older Muhammad. My cop buddy still tells this story.
