Jazmine: Santa's in jail! Huey: I can't believe you didn't know! Santa's been in a Hungarian prison for five months now. The judge has denied a request to let him out to complete his Christmas rounds. Jazmine: No Christmas! Huey: Apparently he's a "flight risk."

I’m reminded of a tv show when I was a kid, where a guy in a Santa suit was arrested for panhandling. He was released without his suit, so all that the children saw was that the police dragged Santa in and he never came out. There was a big demonstration outside the police station where they screamed “Release Santa!” I also remember a child dreaming of Santa in chains in a dark prison cell.
I wonder where the show was from. It was definitely not Norwegian. It might possibly have been Eastern European, maybe Czech. For some reason, we got many shows from behind the iron curtain.
