Huey: Several thousand people dead because of the administration's gross negligence. Caesar: Yep. Huey: And what was it again that people hated about John Kerry? Caesar: He windsurfed.
The Orange Buffoon is so much biglier than Curious George in so many ways. The GOP was just warming up for an apocalyptic century back then. It makes you wonder what they’ll do next. Ignoring climate change might not be enough for them.
George W. Bush is extremely happy that DJT became president. DJT makes him look so good in comparison. W was never in danger of being considered the worst president of the US, not by anyone who knew history and knew of Fillmore, Pierce, and Buchanan, anyway. The longer DJT stays, the better W looks in comparison.
DJT, now, he can give Fillmore, Pierce, and Buchanan some competition for their spots on the list of worst presidents. He’s already blown past Wilson and Jackson on the list of Most Racist Presidents, quite a feat when you consider how hard Wilson and Jackson had to work to get their spots.
Trump manages to combine the stupidity of Bush the Lesser with the corruption of Nixon, and turn them both up to eleven.
In the coming decades, when historians start seriously documenting this era, the great question will be what can be attributed to utter ignorance, and what can be attributed to rank venality.
“Screaming enthusiastically at his own rally”, has to be the dumbest reason for a candidate to be knocked out of a race ever. Did he have no qualifications other than dignity?
And lied about his “wounds”. And lied to Congress about US troops committing atrocities. And colluded with the NVA and VC in Paris while still a commissioned officer on active reserve status. Refused to release his full military record. Even to this day.
I stand by the argument that the Democrats threw the election. They did not want to pick up in the middle of President Bush’s massive screw up and have the Republicans be able to shift the blame of everything over to them.So they gave America the massively uncharismatic Kerry and did everything in their power to lose that election.

Hundreds of thousands, if you count Iraqis.
But then, look at all the progress in prosthetic devices.
