Had another nightmare about seeing Brokeback Mountain, eh?

It’s okay, grandad. You can tell them. They’re man enough to handle it.

I still remember this very strange conversation my father had with me when I was about 15. He was thrice married and he was telling me that romance was still possible and to not give up on girls. Or something like that. It was not until some years later that I figured out what this “talk” was about. I had not shown much interest in girls yet and it did not help that he had a homosexual brother. This was back in the days when homosexuality was considered a “choice” and he was scared I might make that choice.

I hope Granddad can’t see how sick it is now.
