Riley may have a point because these telemarketers can be a royal PITA! I have Caller ID so I know when a telemarketer is calling so I don’t even answer it. A few days ago one tried to call me and they kept on trying to call me after I kept not answering. So I tracked down the number and sent a text saying that the next time they ever called me, there was going to be a problem! It’s only been a few days but I haven’t gotten a call since.

Always loved this particular arc. I’m with Riley all the way.

Working as a telemarketer is a job of last resort for many people-low pay, high pressure, abuse from those you call. They do not call you a computer does and then they have to read from a script (and no I have never worked in a call center)Who wants to work a job that can be outsourced to India and replaced by a worker making $5 a day.Personally I just pick-up/hang up immediately if I don’t recognize the #.

I just never answer the phone unless I’m expecting a call. 99% of scammers and such just hang up. The family and such text these days.

I feel sorry for the average telemarketer. I just tell them I’m not interested and don’t want to waste their time or mine.

Unless it’s a foreigner calling from “Microsoft”, then I tell them I know it’s BS and hang up.
