Huey: See, granddad - I need home schooling. There's so much that I want to learn that no American school will ever teach me. Granddad: Like what? Huey: Like how to overthrow an imperialist capitalist regime and replace it with a socialist system which recognizes and protects the collective good against personal avarice. Granddad: And I'm supposed to teach you that? Huey: Hey, I know you used to be a radical - I've seen pictures. Granddad: (Sigh). You own one dashiki thirty years ago and nobody lets you forget.

It’s true. We have a terrible form of government that doesn’t please anybody. The problem is that only a few others are as good, and most are worse.

Send him to a “Socialist System” governed country as an exchange student – that should cure him.

I think the socialist system that Huey describes in the second panel is pure fantasy. Yet many gullible people today believe it’s possible just because a few obviously corrupt politicians push for it. Socialism will breed more corruption at the highest level. In today’s society by hard work everyone has a chance to succeed. No guarantees but we have opportunities. Nothing keeps the working class down like socialism.
