In ‘88, we were sitting around the drivers’ table waiting for them to finish loading our trucks, and discussing the just-held primary election. I said that I had voted for Jesse; one of my co-workers leaped up, shouted "You’d vote for a n****r?!?!?, stormed off, and didn’t speak to me for 6 months.
I was fine with that…………..
