"Huey Freeman's Online Movie Review The Patriot" "First, I was rather surprised that the filmmakers chose to omit Crispus Attucks from this Revolutionary War tale... thereby passing up a rare opportunity where they could have justifiably killed the black man first." Caesar: That's stupid... Huey: It's true, though.

I wonder what Huey would think about the Little Mermaid remake.

Well, The Patriot is set in 1778 in North Carolina while Crispus Attucks lived in Massachusetts and died in 1770.

When you look at history do not look for angles look at all sides (think of issues as spheres). Crispus Attucks was a sailor his whole life and died in the Boston Massacre standing up for his belief in freedom; not a year later in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. He was one of the five killed in the initial battle of the revolution. Their deaths instantly transformed them from anonymous sailors and laborers into martyrs who stood their ground in the burgeoning revolutionary cause. Trying to change history to suit their purpose is a white republican tactic that has and will continue to fail as long as humans remember their past. May God/ Allah/Yahweh bless us all.
