Huey: So Dr. Dre sues Napster for copyright violation, even as he is getting sued by George Lucas for copyright violation. And while he's quick to sue others, Lucas seems to have "borrowed" James Gurney's "Dinotopia" artwork and concepts for "Star Wars: Episode I". Caesar: Hmm.. Huey: Know what I think? I think all art belongs to the masses! The greed and hypocrisy must end! "The opinions expressed by Aaron McGruder are not necessarily those of Aaron McGruder. All images are C. Aaron McGruder, 2001. Copyright laws can be really annoying, especially if something was fair use. For example, certain Muppet Show and Sesame Street episodes and sketches that have the characters singing covers of popular songs aren’t being released because of copyright infringement and don’t get me started on Muppet Babies.

“Fair Use” isn’t what a lot of people think it is. It’s using copyrighted material within a news story specifically about that material without the need to license it. It’s just that narrow.
