The Boondocks by Aaron McGruder for August 25, 2024
Transcript:
Huey: Let's review 2001. A shady election, the appointment of Bush by the supreme court, a sharp economic downturn, an energy crisis, several months of nonstop Gary Condit, Aaliyah dies in a plane crash at 22, a massive terrorist attack on New York and the pentagon, the loss of thousands of innocent lives, a war in Afghanistan, Ashcroft assaulting civil liberties, Bush gets a 10 percent approval rating, bio-terrorist attacks on media and government institutions, and Gloria Foster, the oracle from "the matrix", dies of diabetes. Am I forgetting anything? Caesar: Episode 2 - "attack of the clones." Huey: Right. Doesn't exactly bode well for 2002... Caesar: Some years just need to come with a "do over" clause in the contract...

I don’t think it would have been any better with Al Gore, whose house uses more electricity than a small city.

Just imagine that Nancy Pelosi’s “leadership” a few years later by running on a platform of holding Bush/Cheney accountable and then refusing to do so would eventually lead to the sh1t show we’re living in today.
