How about we teach the women to put the seat up.

We have an arrangement. I put the seat down and periodically she cleans the toilet. I can deal with that.

It has always struck me that this is a foolish manufactured controversy. What you should do is put the LID down (even if you don’t have a dog). That’s what we do, it’s a ‘level playing field’, and I’ve never ever dropped anything down there!

Last time my husband put the lid down, he forgot (at 3AM) that he had done so. However, he did clean up the ensuing mess.

Date a woman who has had sons; you’ll never hear a complaint whether it’s up or down.

Both sexes have to have it down for certain activities, therefore that should be the determining factor. As for having the lid down as well, like Lady Kat’s hubby I would have a mess.

With the name Libby and a pink bow, it sure seems like it’s a girl. Maybe everything’s backwards in Treetops! :)

One thing worse than guys who don’t put the seat down after they’ve finished using the toilet as a urinal is guys who don’t bother to put the seat UP BEFORE they use the toilet as a urinal. OK, Guys, how many of you have encountered that unpleasant surprise when you use the men’s room? Once is more than enough for me.

I am with the ‘Lid Down’ crowd. Everyone that wants the ‘seat’ THEIR way should buy and install and keep clean a separate toilet.

After 43 years of marriage, up or down is not an issue! However, regarding whether the TP should roll down from the front side or the back side; that is another issue…
