Ah, so he’s still into Lasagna. That makes me happy. I’ve started to reread all the strips from the very start, and I have to say that I miss the mean hard-core Garfield of those days. He seems to have mellowed down considerably. Old age?
Having toured a number of the larger industrial-scale manufacturing facilities around here as a part of my Industrial Technologies studies in community college I did a couple of years back, and probably being the only guy who doesn’t fall asleep during How It’s Made; I actually enjoy seeing how stuff goes from raw materials to finished product more than I do a theme park.

That being said, I’ve been to Dollywood during my preteen years; as well as the local Pepsi bottler, Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), and a manufacturer of steering components for Toyota. We almost got to go to Volvo Trucks’ New River plant (which would’ve been the first real automotive facility I would have seen in person), but by the time management said we could come, the class had just about ended.

I guess an atrium of ferns is also out of the question.

I suggest a tour of Italy so Garfield can find the origin of Lasagna.

The lasagna factory would be good. Profit and loss statements would show they were in the red. Tax write-off.

They make lasagna in factories? I thought it was made in a garden; you know, the “Olive Garden”…

I’m sure there are other food factory tours both of them would be interested in.
