Back when I was a kid and went to camp, we had a monster called “the Mope”. I imagined all kinds of ways it looked, but was really disappointed when they showed a painting of it and it looked like a walking mushroom.

There are stories of a monster like this in Bear Lake, on the Utah-Idaho border. I don’t know what his name is or if he’s friends with a little girl.
