Let’s see. By now I must have permanent records with at least two school districts, several corporations, too many doctors and hospitals, and numberless government agencies. But does ‘permanent’ mean my lifetime or perpetuity? As I read once, the last proton in the universe will disintegrate in 10^200 years. It better contain my permanent record or I’m gonna complain!

Exactly. The whole “permanent record” is a hoax. Sadly, twisting a childs mind can create a permanent record that he or she is destined to fail. Schools that do that are evil.

A worried voice from the back of the lecture hall asked, “Did you say that the universe will die in Millions, or Billions, of years?” The lecturer repeated, “Billions, ma’am.” " … Oh! Thank God!"

Is it just me, or do those kids look like juvenile Kirk & Spock? (The speaker’s ear are a little pointed…)
