Dad: Today, we're learning how to change a flat tire. Baldo: But the tire's not flat. Dad: We'll pretend it's flat. Baldo: Can we pretend we changed it already?
Changing flat tires was the best part of car care. There’s just enough to it to be fun. Haven’t done it in years, but I used to be faster at it than my father.
My boyfriend taught my daughters how to change tires…after listening to him complain for the next two days, I got a AAA membership for them! Worked well…:-)
Baldo loves cars. He can’t wait to buy one of his own. And he never learned anything as simple as changing a tire?Illogical or not, I really enjoy this strip. 8-)
The good old days. My father made each of us kids learn to change tires, check all fluid levels, replace the fan belt, and all lights front and back before we could drive any of his cars.
Thanks Dad, RIP
BTW in my area AAA takes at least 2 hours to respond to any calls, so it’s quicker and easier to do it yourself.
Before Dad would let my older sister drive on her own, he made her change a tire three times to make sure she knew how to do it. I had to work it out on my own the first time I got a flat, and I wasn’t exactly a car-geek.

Hey Sergio,If you want Baldo to learn how to change flat tires, then let a lot of air out of that tire, so it’ll resemble one that is flat.
