A parsnip is basically an anemic carrot
I love parsnips, though I usually use them in stews. I’d describe them as a sweet tasting white carrot, though not so carroty in flavour.
Isn’t a parsnip kind of like a white carrot?
I like the taste of parsnips, but as my mother used to say: “When cooking, they smell like my grandfather’s dirty laundry.”
When she was younger, my daughter referred to parsnips as “hell carrots”.
