I had a History prof who absolutely lost it on the class because the majority of us had either skimmed the reading assigned or hadn’t done it at all. Mind you, my snotty little attitude at the time may have been that I paid to learn from her, not a book – it would have been cheaper for me to just learn from a book, but being self taught doesn’t get you your credits. The majority of us were also there because you had to have a rounded education – if you were a science student, you had to take at least two electives that weren’t science based and it is possible we may not have had the same passion as our long suffering History Prof, poor lady.

I did all my reading in college. (Chemical Engineering).
