My husband is a German citizen and his family is still living there, including kids. While I have been to Europe dozens of times, I don’t think I’d really want to live there, but….we are discussing renting a small apartment so we can come and go as we please and stay for several months at time without hotels. Also it would give us a break from the Florida heat and hurricane season. We’ll see. I do not speak German, but most Germans DO speak English. At least the younger ones.
haha this is SO true! It’s fine to drive on the highways and in the countryside but I have seldom been as scared for my (and my family’s) life as when I was driving in Rome!
If I were their age, I would move to ANYPLACE In Europe or the UK at a moment’s notice. You don’t have to stay forever, but oh, to experience life in a “different” place would be wonderful.
