I see a trip to Sears for some new tools in your future!

I ordered a bike wheel from a shop once. It came as a hoop, a box with an axle, and a cardboard tube full of spoke wires. Not a fun week.

What do you mean you do not have a dozen different tools you will only use once in your life?

26 speed? Never heard of one of them. 27 speed or 24 speed. Forgive me for being nit-picky. Good cartoon!

Just use metric crescent wrenches and screwdrivers.

ANYTHING electronic. I’m decent with a wrench, but if it’s got more than one cable to plug in, I’m on the phone to India in a heartbeat.

What he is holding is not the right tool to open the box, I think that’s a left handed can opener.

Harbor Freight is always there when you need something special…even if you can’t find it in your own shop and you know you already have it SOMEWHERE….

If it will require assembly or any form of setup, for me it will always come from a “brick and mortar” business. Usually an independent shop and not a part of a large chain as well…

Last time I tried to assemble something using instructions meant for various and sundry things similar to what I was attempting (you know how they print instructions for several types…type A do this..B do that…) I finally tossed the instructions and put it together myself…and it worked.

Aww very smart! The Mr Plugger here is too stubborn and too cheap to pay somebody to do something he can do himself (in only a week or so with pinched fingers and many cuss words.) sigh

Bicycles are easy, it’s the internal combustion engine that I won’t touch.
