Even though it’s not a reality show, the British already beat them to it with “Dinnerladies.”

My mother was a cafeteria lady in a junior high school for several years. I don’t think she would ever be compelled to watch such a TV show.

Well, TLC has that show about garbage men. I’ve never actually seen it, but they are making a big deal about filming it down here during the Mardi Gras cleanup. I hope they give those poor boys some money for being on the show. My point is, cafeteria ladies can’t be too far behind.

We had a cool show up here called “It’s a Living” where the host went to all kinds of different work places and learned the ropes. He did everything from sanitation worker to short-lived bad guy/naked corpse in morgue in a movie. It was funny, respectful and educational. But reality shows – most are just cheaply-made, unscripted fillers.

lewreader, I’m with you, here I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the exciting story of the older sister being the manager of a cafeteria and all the trials and tribulations she went through that have a direct link to this comic … Maybe it was just an oversight, or maybe the story will be told in installments to gradually increase our suspense and trepidation awaiting the outcome.

we can only hope & pray this is the case

Last week in the news, an angry Cafeteria lady went nuts on the kid who threw something at her, so we’re already there, and joefish, they DO have bathroom attendants in many places, because the kids go smoke and do drugs in the bathrooms.

I was quite surprised recently when I found out my cousin was working as a “cafeteria lady”. I wouldn’t have thought to mention it, but I can now see that it is totally appropriate.

“Why aren’t you in detention for starting that food fight?” “They couldn’t prove it was food.”
