Thank you, Pat Marrin, for “Francis.” Some readers spout fear and rage, but you pour forth refreshing portions of loving understanding spiced with wry humor.
Myself, an Obama voter, I feel that after all the hidden racist hate dies down, President Obama and his reforms will turn out to be some of the best long-term moves that could have been made.
I think you all missed the joke here: The description given would be applicable to Pope Francis (inspired hope, has warm smile and big ears, and there are those who are opposed to his “reforms” and “programs”), but, ironically, the fella on the telly is talking about Mr. Obama, not Pope Francis, or at least that’s Francis’ take on it.
I’m sure I read a comment yesterday about a touch of irony. The comment is no longer here, but I agreed with it. Francis recognized himself in the comments from the announcer. So, knowing what President Barack Obama is up against, Frances remarks that he will pray daily for Obama.
Who didn’t see the last frame coming?Anyhow, jogger, they all get their talking points from Faux, so they just sound like duplicates. About as interesting as a two-year-old sing lalalala.

Frankly, he could use it, Your Holiness. Can you give him a backbone at the same time?

It is not surprising that one Marxist would wish another Marxsist well. That is to the Pope’s credit.

You just lost a subscriber to this one. Obama is our worst president and Francis ….?
davidf42 about 10 years ago
Make that two subscribers. Obama doesn’t need any help. America needs the prayers after Obama has made such a mess of it. Goodby.

Like it or not Obama will be here for another 2 yrs. Get over it. Yes, Pope… pray for us.

I like this Pope and I like Obama and we all need prayer 8^)
fielja about 10 years ago
amen, to that ! our country and our president can use all the prayes they can get.

How Christian, the reaction of some people to the notion that God accepts prayers for everyone equally, or that the Pope prays for everyone equally.

I like how whenever anyone shows compassion for the poor and criticizes the rich, he gets branded a Marxist. So Jesus is a Marxist too?

I, too, like this pope and I like President Obama, who is doing a good job in very difficult circumstances, no thanks to the trolls.

Something is wrong with the comment feature. A lot of comments here are duplicates.
