@formalhaut09…I think they refer less to a conspiracy than to this : http://www.theonion.com/articles/conspiracy-theorist-convinces-neil-armstrong-moon,2796/
Have you ever noticed how pathetic the moon landing deniers are? Guys who have never done anything worthwhile in their lives, dedicated to destroying their betters. This is a stupid, misjudged cartoon.
I’m a cyclist, fan of both Louis and Neil Armstrong (not really a fan of Lance), and I thought this was pretty funny. I’m guessing that W & M are NOT conspiracy theorists, but are, instead, using the general knowledge of the existence of such theories in a humourous way. We needn’t agree with a stereotype to find the humour in its use..Now if those who have said they will no longer read this comic if it is drawn by a “conspiracy theorist moron”, or because this episode is not funny in their esteem, are willing to miss out on a good joke now and again simply because one episode has been less than funny, I see that as their loss. Tant pis pour vous.
Just because it’s part of the comic doesn’t mean the author believes it. You know he could be poking fun at it. And I’m particularly impressed with the “If his beliefs don’t agree with mine, (especially a silly, single one), i don’t like him.” Geez, I love society.

Puts Neil & Louis in the same comic as Lance, and wants us to laugh? Wow. Misjudged that one. Badly.

GoComics should add Like and Unlike buttons to the strips. I’d bet that this strip would get all Unlikes for todays.

I’m pretty sure the Neil Armstrong thing is meant to be ironic. Most of these “true facts” are wildly exaggerated/inaccurate. Isn’t that the point?
