Norman: I was a pretty good baseball player myself, Echo... Back in little league I hit for "the cycle"!
Echo: Really? You hit a single, double, triple and home run in one game?
Norman: No, I popped up to first, second, third and short!
In little league, infield popups often go as hits. (Just because you hit it to the shortstop doesn’t mean he catches it. And official scorers are generous, so they’re hits, not errors.)
When these two first hooked up, she was as dumb as him. Now she’s gotten smarter and it’s impossible for him to get any dumber! At least, he can’t and still feed himself!

Did anybody else think he was going to say he got a cycle for hitting a home run?

Not a true Pop Up Cycle, A true Pop Up Cycle includes popping up to the Catcher. The Pitcher doesn’t count, he doesn’t cover a base!

Norm and Echo are at Dodger Stadium! (Mountains in the background and palm tree in the bull pen).
