@JASON, I hope you see this! I just went and read the entire history of Ginger Meggs! WOW!!! VERY IMPRESSIVE! I guess if I was to compare it to one of our American strips it would have to be “Blondie and Dagwood”, for the history and age, and perhaps some small similar story lines Keep the strip going Jason!!

usfellers is spot on - entrée is the generally used term, but different restaurants use different terms.
Some use ‘starters’ or ‘appetisers’ (spelt with an English UK ‘s’)

Fitzzy’s lunch sounds delicious.
As for Benny’s old can of tuna, I’ve got cans of tuna in my pantry dating back to 2000 (marker written) and they all taste fine once opened.
