I read “The Art of War” some years back. A few years later I picked up a variation of the translation where the author stated that depending on the tense? of Mandarin that is used the book could be considered a primer on peaceful conflict resolution. Didn’t get around to reading his version, don’t remember his name and haven’t a clue if that interpretation is valid.

Do not be fooled by a swift riposte - it is but a desperate facade of a hopelessly outnumbered foe.

Pacifist version of art of war? Is that like the vegetarian version of the meatlovers bbq bible?
