I find it interesting that Rita, of all people, is visiting a bowling alley; given her usual attitudes about things, one would think she considered such a place beneath her. And doesn’t she ever set that water bottle down?
My uncle owned a bowling alley. I can remember once when I was VERY young, picking up a bowling ball and walking down to the end of the lane to roll the ball into the pins. It seemed the most logical thing in the world to me and I didn’t understand why the bowlers didn’t do it.

Did he strike in his spare time before he split the lane? Hope he didn’t go dutch with his date or he could miss an opportunity.

Not sure that even Sal’s head would stop a machine. I’m old enough to remember pinsetting boys.

Obviously not an 8 pound kiddie ball. Probably 16 pounds, or it wouldn’t be heavy enough to carry his scrawny frame all the way to the pins. ;-)

Ooo. I just had a flash of the next person to tick off Dana or Andromeda being turned into the head bowling pin.
