    Prior to Dick Fosbury bringing his technique (coined the Fosbury Flop) to the 1968 Olympics (winning the men’s high jump gold medal), the dominant technique used back then was the straddle:Without Fosbury’s change, there is no way this strip could have been drawn. So, at the very least, Mr. McPherson should have used his first name. If you disagree, I couldn’t care less.P.S. The number of Olympic high jump medallists with the first name Bert:ZERO
