Morning, VistaBill and all!Great dialogue today – especially her comments to Sam and Punjab! It’s always fun when Fritz Ann visits. And maybe tomorrow, she’ll tell all about Thunder Island!
We all know why Sam didn’t invite Fritz Ann earlier. He generally tends to avoid her. In fact, I think this might be the first time he ever invited her, rather than her suddenly just appearing. (Also, Fritz Ann is “Dietrich,” unlike Diet Smith.)
Punjab falls into the category of “known to police,” not necessarily a good category to be in, but Punjab is pleased that the FBI has a large file on him. He’s not easily intimidated, that’s for sure.
Bet Fritz Ann is thinking some other of Punjab assets might be large…I think this crossoves is a bit straided including magic…a thing that has no place in DT Universe.Happy weekend to you all!
When Fritz Ann enters a room, she takes over the conversation. But if Sam is a bit flummoxed, Punjab is no more than wryly amused by the FBI agent. Daddy and Fritz Ann, on the other hand, seem to treat each other with mutual respect. And now, on with the show!
Well Sam, looks like you’re going to lose your girlfriend to millionaire playboy, Daddy Warbucks. You should have made your move while you had the chance, she was hot for you for the longest!
OMG, not only does this “Neverending Story” crawl into fall and maybe winter, but the comments section has now morphed into Dear Abby. Hug it out folks.
From the Far Eastern Everyday Usage Dictionary (on loan to me from the late, great SDM) : MEMSAHIB means “Hallo, Lettle Chickie: you wanna sit on Punjab’s lap, yes?”
It’s amazing how an exaggerated open eye (mid panel) on Warbucks can get so many tongues wagging . . . (?)For those that like the ’ speculation ’ thing, note how (in panel 1), Sam’s elbow attempts to retard Fritz Ann from moving forward, and then closer, she’s not looking Warbucks in the eye - but rather focusing on his ‘diamond’ tie clip. And those with more vivid imaginations might ponder on ‘exactly’ what she meant - with emphasis on the word ’ LARGER ’ ?
Punjab, like The Asp are not criminals, but they are known to the police. Their reputations precede them.
Maybe they’re not exactly criminals, but then I’m not sure that making people disappear into thin air, never to return, is exactly a legal thing to do, either.

What happens when Agent Fritz Ann asks about the whereabouts of the aforementioned “war criminal”:“Well, um, that is, um, you see, I mean, um. . .”

Fritz Ann can add “The Butcher” to Punjab’s file and watch it grow.

Fritz Ann might be hesitant about starting a relationship with Daddy Warbucks considering what happened to his second wife.

Same as Tess is happily married to Richard – but that hasn’t stopped any Johnny Adonis jokes lately!

What Sam could have said is, “We didn’t call you sooner because it’s usually US solving YOUR cases…”

Hmm.. Punjab the wizard. I wonder if there is a file for Harry Dresden the wizard as well. Now THAT would be an interesting cross-over.
