If my theory is correct, tomorrow we should get a “new” strip. As @mabrndt and @Tom Flapwell realized a few days ago, re-rerunning these three strips will align the Sunday strips with our current calendar (for several months the Sunday strips have been running on Thursday; that will be fixed).
I said look for 3 more repeats on Monday. Maybe it was only 2 more. I have trouble remembering what I did yesterday, let alone what strip I read last week. GoComics messed with the archive; so, I couldn’t really check.For example, last Sunday here was definitely not a Sunday strip; but, if you look at the July 27, 2014 strip in the archive, it’s what was shown here last Thursday.Anyway, like last Monday’s strip was a repeat rerun of a Monday (7/3/2000), today’s is a rerun of a Thursday (7/6/2000 — you can see the 7/6 at the P1 left edge below that speech balloon).
