I don’t get why Cylene would be playing with Ruthie to begin with, since Cylene is very much a snob who looks down on Ruthie. But if they were playing, it’s more likely that Cylene dressed the cat up, rather than Ruthie. Cats are less likely to allow ‘manhandling’ by strangers…
I used to dress my cats up in doll clothes and push ’em in the doll buggy, for about ten seconds, then they would jump out and run under the bushes. :)

Mom knew something was up. This reminds me of FBOFW when the kids dressed up Farley in mom’s undies and less painful.
