I wonder if other children feel that way as Ruthie claims, until find out mom and dad are right.

Children tend to act on what they see. If Ruthie sees her mother and grandmother as being bossy people, she may think that is what she is supposed to be doing, too….

So did I when I was your age, Ruthie – didn’t do me any good, either.
